Biography |

Dr. Weisz started
his career in medicine as a pharmacist at Presbyterian Hospital in
Oklahoma City, went on to work for Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa for
seven years. While at Hillcrest, he was the director of pharmacy
education. He earned his MD at the University of Oklahoma College of
Medicine-Tulsa. Completed internship and residency at the University
of Oklahoma College of Medicine-Tulsa. He is two-time recipient of
the Outstanding Faculty for Internal Medicine award. He is currently
the Vice Chair and Program Director for the Internal Medicine
residency program at OU-Tulsa. Special interests include migraine
headaches and resident education. Dr. Weisz serves on the academic
misconduct board, chairs/vice chairs executive board, and the
University Medical Affiliates advisory board for the University of
Oklahoma College of Medicine. He serves on the board of directors,
executive committee and medical education committee for the Tulsa
Medical Education Foundation. Dr. Weisz has been awarded two
research grants, published six original papers, one textbook, and
ten poster presentations. |

The University of Oklahoma was founded in 1890 and has provided
Oklahomans excellence in undergraduate and graduate education for
more than a century. The College of Medicine was organized in 1900,
emerged as a four-year degree-granting school in the early 1900s and
awarded its first degree in 1911. To expand medical education in
Oklahoma, the College of Medicine-Tulsa was established in 1972. Six
clinical departments make their home in Tulsa: Surgery, Medicine,
Pediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Family Practice and Psychiatry.
The physicians in the College of Medicine - Tulsa have formed a
group practice, OU Physicians. In addition to their commitment to
education and research, the OU Physicians are experienced,
cutting-edge clinical practitioners with a great deal to offer
referring physicians and their patients.
